A Child

A child is born unhappy

A child is born unhappy because he doesn’t know what he would become

Maybe he would be subservient to another just like him or be a master to may

Maybe he would be treated less of a child by others born or more than just a child by the same

Maybe he would be squashed like sardines in his everyday life or live large like the whale, continuously splashing big on life

————————————————————————–

A child is born unhappy

A child is born unhappy because he would be corrupted

To lie, steal, cheat, fight and maybe kill other children for his own survival

Told how to think, feel and act, or be listened and inspire other children on what to think, feel and how to act

A child is born unhappy

A child is born unhappy because he would feel pain….lots of it

He would lose something…… or somethings ……….or everything…..with himself or without

It is a child against a child……children against children

  1. Something about being a mother has completely changed me. I would have read this before a bit detached. But now, now, your words strike a chord. I believe other parents can relate. It’s not the unhappy child that screams in the checkout line and everyone glares. It’s the unhappy child who’s blissfully playing when another child strikes him down. It’s learning that it’s a cruel world. There is no happily ever after. And yet somehow, we all go on.
