Day of the Dead

Cold clouds gradually encompass the vast plains

Like how blood spreads onto the injured’s clothes

‘And I don’t see the lines of the Moon’s strong veins’

I wondered

The clanking of chains whispered from a far

Click -Clank as heavy feet hit the ground,

Danger play in my head with a heavy-base guitar

Spellbound, I sink to the underworld of fear in my mind

Where lies the most scary, fearsome monster

Hands of elders and leaders bind kindness in days past

That we protect ourselves like the shells on a lobster

Young forever we stayed, succumbing to fear

As I am here,

Lied down

Eyes open

Yet another dream of what is to come
